I-864A Contract
Between Sponsor
and Household
Member

This Contract is made between the Sponsor and Household Member. The purpose of this Contract is to set out the rights and obligations that each Party has related to the Sponsor’s sponsorship for immigration.
The Sponsor agrees to provide financial support for the Household Member upon request. The Sponsor will provide assistance as needed to cover food, clothing, housing, educational materials, and other necessary expenses for their household member. The Sponsor also agrees to make payments towards any debt owed by the Household Member, such as student loans or credit cards.
The Household Member agrees to use the Sponsor’s financial assistance appropriately and not take advantage of the situation. The household member must also comply with all laws and regulations related to immigration in their country of origin while they are living abroad. The household member must report any changes in circumstances which could affect their status or eligibility as a sponsored person.
Both parties agree that this Contract shall remain in full force and effect until terminated by either Party or by a court order. This Contract supersedes any prior agreements between the Parties regarding financial assistance for immigration purposes. In addition, both Parties agree to abide by all laws applicable to this agreement, including federal, state, and local laws governing immigrant sponsorship.
The Parties acknowledge that they have read this Contract carefully before signing it and understand its provisions fully. They further agree that there are no additional agreements or understandings between them concerning its subject matter other than those stated within this document.
